A late Summer drive on a back road in rural Cape Breton. The weather was a combination of Fog,
Drizzle and Rain for the first hour. As we rounded a bend in the road, the view to my left opened
up to a cove where a Great Blue Heron stood, patiently waiting for lunch. I stopped the Jeep
and switched to my long lens before I rolled down my window and got this image.
It’s always risky stopping on narrow roads, especially close to a turn.
I try to avoid it but sometimes a shot just needs to be taken.
