Hurricane Fiona made landfall in Nova Scotia on the morning of September 24, 2022 with sustained winds at the time of landfall to be around 169 km/h. (105 mph);
It was likely the strongest storm in Canadian history. Damage from the waves was beyond comprehension, and Property damage was estimated to be
in excess of $800 million CAD (US$600 million), with the total damage expected to be significantly higher.
Five days later, this was the scene at a local estuary as the sun began to set. From this angle, there is no evidence that a storm had occurred.
Proof that Nature always seeks Balance.
Big Glace Bay Beach, Port Caledonia Nova Scotia.
